After disembarking from the ship I flew out of Ushuaia to El Calafate for the first of 2 stops in the region of Patagonia, Argentina. El Calafate is a small town whose sole purpose seems to revolve around Glaciers National Park, and more specifically Perito Moreno Glacier. Now having just returned from the Antarctica and the land of glaciers I was a little worried of wasting time and money visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier. Fortunately I would not be disappointed as it gave me the opportunity to see a glacier all by itself surrounded by lush green mountains. IIt was interesting to see how the glacier had carved out a valley in the mountains as well as see the ice calving off the glacier and into the lake surrounding it.

After 3 nights in El Calafate I flew to the Lake District and city of Bariloche where I would spend 3 days and 4 nights having various daily adventures in Kayaking, Horse riding, and Canopy. Bariloche reminded me of when I was in Costa Rica --- a town centered around adventure activities. It also reminded me of a Swiss Alpine city as is noticed in the architecture of thecity buildings and its multitude of chocolate shops.

As I wrote in my previous post I am currently in my hotel room in Buenos Aires and enjoying a night off. The last 7 nights I have spent in private rooms at hostels, which means there is never a shortage of people who want to go out and have a good time.
