The day Phil had been waiting for! The day we climbed Table Mountain.

Anthony the barman from our hostel took a group of us to Table Mountain to hike up. It was us, another British Girl from Norfolk (Jess) and Ze Germans (a group of 6). We set off at 8.30am and went up the Skelaton Gorge route, this is called this as many people died climbing it.....Ooooonly joking!

It was so steep and included LOADS of steps! Ze Germans struggled and for every 15 mins of hiking they had to rest for 20mins! And smoke a million fags each time! As we got higher the views kept getting better but nothing prepared us for the view at the top. It was a hard climb, we hiked, climbed cliffs, rocks, ladders, boulders, waterfalls you name it, we climbed it! We stopped at a flatish bit and ate our picnic and then continued on like troopers, Jess's singing of "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Its up the mountain we go" drowned out Ze Germans moans!

All in all it took us 7 bloomin hours! (we could have done it in 4 easily without Ze Germans). Every second was worth it though for even just a glimpse of the view at the top. When we got there we all literally stood in silence for 20 mins in awe. Unbelievable. Unreal. It is hard to explain, even the pictures don't do it justice! Sat on the edge of a rock, feet dangling 1090 meters high! Although everytime I went near the edge I went dizzy and jelly legged! Who knew I had Vertigo! Nearly passed out watching Phil prance from rock to rock on the edge!

We eventually got the cable car down. This was so disheartening as it took only 3 minutes!!! We got taxis back to the hostel and ended up meeting 2 American families who had just arrived. We spoke to them for 4 hours comparing countries! They found it hard to understand that gune were illegal in the UK and kept asking "But how do people defend themselves??!!"

Went to bed at Midnight to be up at 7am for the Baz Bus to take us to Mossel Bay! We had bets that Jess wouldn't make it but to our suprise she did! Ha! 6 hours later we arrived at Mossel Bay and the weather here is beautiful and our hostel is like a surfers paradise! More like a hotel! Spending the next 4 nights here chilling by the pool and beach.

Whale watching tomorrow :)

Archie-Blue should enjoy that! PS see if you can spot her in some of the pics - we nearly lost her off Table Mountain!!

Peace out!

Amazing views!
Phil I feel sick just looking at how close you are to the edge!
Kylie - You need to go easy on the animal print please, don't want you being targeted by poachers on any safaris/nature walks!

Hurry up with the next update please, where are the lions????????????????
