Well its just 2 weeks til we set off and there are still a million things to sort but what the heck we will soon be on a years holiday :-). I thought I'd better start by telling you the planned route:-
We fly to New York on the 19th September to spend 6 nights. It's looking like we will be sleeping in Central Park having seen the prices but ever the optomist I am convinced we can pick up a late deal in a plush hotel for under a tenner.
From NY we fly on to Fiji via LA for 2 weeks of sun, sand and ........rugby?
Next we fly on to Auckland in NZ where we intend to spend about 5 weeks touring around and maybe doing a bungee jump or skydive. LJ says she could only do a skydive if someone pushed her out the plane. Her wish is my command!
After Kiwi land we fly on to Oz. First stop is Melbourne from where we hope to travel(very slowly) all the way up the East coast ending up in Darwin. At some point we will be visiting that big red rock in the middle. The plan is to be in Sydney for xmas and new year. LJ's big ambition for the Oz bit of the trip is to visit the set of Home and away, and Neighbours and Sons and Daughter and Prisoner Cell block H and Skippy (only joking, not Skippy). My big ambition is to join up with the Barmey Army!
After 3 months in Oz we fly from Darwin to Bali - its tough but someone got to do it!
From there on it all gets a bit hazy. The only thing for sure is that our next flight is from Bangkok to Hong Kong then overland thru China to Beijing before flying home.
In between Bali and Bangkok we hope to visit Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos but not necessarily in that order.
Well we hope to see lots of people at the leaving party in lots of dodgy costumes.
