Hey!
Greetings from Cyprus again... I've managed to extend my ticket to stay here until the end of October (an extra 6 weeks) but truth be told, i'd love to stay here longer!! The weather is still great (around 30 C every day) making it easy to get out and about. Since the last time i 'reported' ive lived in Limassol, stayed in Paphos, visited the Trodos mountains again and "true to form" ive gatecrashed a bachelor party, christening, birthday party and a going away party! I have enjoyed my stay in Limassol with my cousins Flori and Suzy. Flori and her husband Johnny have a Karaoke business, singing in various hotels and bars around the tourist district of Limassol. I went along to a few of their shows and Flori managed to get me up a couple of times. Needless to say, I destroyed those two songs and Flori never really asked me to sing after that! Also, their daughter Melani (17 months old, aka mini-moo) is a classic. She cant quite talk yet but we were able to communicate with no probs at all - basically i had to do what she wanted!
Suzy and her husband Miltos (kids - Michael & Christopher) were able to take me out and about. We went for a fantastic walk in the Trodos mountains up to the Kaledionia waterfall. It reminded me a bit of the Erskin waterfall in Lorne (Victoria), without the ferns. The water was freezing, but i still jumped in for a photo under the waterfall! Also, I have been watching a bit of live soccer with Miltos. They live opposite the Tsirio stadium, home of Apollon soccer club. The atmosphere is different to what im used to... with flares being thrown throughout the match, lots of chanting and beleive it or not chairs being thrown at armed riot police!!! So basically, im keeping well (and being well looked after), still making new frineds and enjoying the experience. Im now planning my trip to Spain with the first port of call being Madrid on 28th Oct.
Send me a message if you can, i'd love to hear how you are doing. Missing you heaps. Lots of love, Peter xoxoxo More thumbnails ...
