We are now safely in Nuremberg. Our journey here took us from Berlin, aiming to board a train at 00:32. The train was 90 minutes late, so we finally boarded at 02:32. This was a sleeper train which was, unfortunately, crowded, and hot. Yes, this was an experience, however neither of us had much rest. At 06:15 we arrived at Dortmund, alighted and boarded and Inter City Train (ICE). This train reached 300kph at one point, and we lucked first class, a huge contrast to the first part of the trip.
We arrived in Frankfurt at 08:45, rang the Peugeot place, and collected our car, who shall now be known as Tod, or Toddy for short :) I am typing this from an internet kiosk so photo's of Toddy will have to wait.
Nuremberg is an interesting place. We are only using this as a resting point on our way to Prague and as a result there is not much to report. The Autobahn was, however, an interesting experience! Toddy does an excellent job of keeping up once speeds top 140kph, even with its little 1.5ltr diesel.
We are aiming for Prague tomorrow, after recovering some of our sleep tonight.
All the best,
Paul
