I have to admit that I had no idea how much Poland suffered during WW II. Only now do I really appreciate simply how many poles, in particular Polish Jews (3 million +) who perished during the WW II. That said, Poland is not a "sad" place, simply visit a few museums and read some story's and you get a strong appreciate for what the Polish have been through.
The Polish are a stoic lot; and apparently they invented Vodka; the Russians simply pinched the recipe. Having tried a bottle of their Vodka I can vouch for the quality.
We will be exploring Warsaw for a couple of days before heading to Berlin. We are staying at a camp-site, which once you get over the asbestos sheeting, lead-painted walls and no heading, is a fine location :) The showers are hot!
There was some excitement today, the bus got bogged in the campsite. I would attache the footage but, at 34.8MB in size, it would take a little while, so I won't. Ask me to see it when you see me :)
