We arrived at our friends house in the evening of the seventh, and are still here (9/9) :-) Their house is lovely. It is a traditionally Finnish house, as they were built 50 years ago. There is a shed for the tractor and sauna, and another small building for storage of items.
Kajaani is a lovely small town, with an old castle as one of its claim to fame, although it has a road bridge running across its ruins. We have seen more evidence of Finnish animals here, including our first squirral, and a small rodent like creature we saw when we were helping paint the house.
