Arrived safely in Kuopio. The train ride wasn't a direct travel job, needing to change about the 3 hour mark (I cannot remember the town at this stage, will have to look at the ticket).

The train ride was great. The trains are very tidy, and either had a food cart, or a mobile food cart. Although Shellie and I were too tired to really take advantage of them, preferring to just buy some water!

What can I say, but Finland appears to have a lot of trees! And it is very green compared to back home in Australia. We also couldn't see any livestock in the paddocks we did see.

Our friends have collected us from the train and taken them to their parent's place in Kuopio for the night. A lovely two bedroom apartment, with a view over the trees (did I mention the trees?)

Tomorrow, with the big travel part behind us (for the moment) we start exploring!
