After a good night's sleep, we again went into Taos to case out the local galleries. The galleries are concentrated in three areas around the plaza. We spent an hour wandering in and out of contemporary, Native American, Mexican, and traditional art. It all starts to blur together so after an hour we retreated to Orlando's for lunch. While we were touring the galleries, we wandered into Walden Galleries and found work by Mikki Senkarik. Deb has had a long time on-line relationship with Jack White, Mikki's husband, who has given her advice on how to produce and sell art. We had intended to visit another gallery area, but a huge storm was coming in and we made it back to the RV just as the skies opened. With the thunder & lightning close by, the dogs were thrilled to have us home.
This gave me a chance to write for the blog and edit pictures in preparation for a marathon posting session tomorrow. In the evening we went out for dinner at Graham's Grill, a restaurant that had just opened last fall when we were in Taos. I had a buffalo burger that was awesome! I shared it with Deb since it was too much for one person to eat. That paired with a New Mexican chardonnay from Gruet, and I was a happy camper.
