I've left it too long to write this blog so now I can't remember what we did but here are some photos so you'll get the general idea. I do remember that it was quite a trek to get to Toledo from Calpe - a 12 hour journey that had me in tears at one point (long story but it proved that I'm not made for the Amazing Race).
Toledo is very toasty - 41 degrees at 6 in the evening. Whoa.
It's a lovely very well preserved old town surrounded by a river and valley. We spent about a day checking out the sites including visiting some nuns who tried very hard to sell us marzipan they had made. Not a fan of the stuff.
We also took a couple of trips into Madrid (about half an hour from Toledo) where we had the best Thai food since we have left Sydney and I bought my new camera. We did also went to a couple of museums so it wasn't all about shopping and eating.
