On Saturday we arrived in Paris to meet up with Peter's parents. Stayed in a very nice hotel located near Invalides.
To celebrate the end of work and Peter's Dad's birthday we had dinner at Cafe de L'Homme which is located at the Trocadero with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. This is where Raphael Nadal comes in - he was having dinner with about 6 people who looked like they knew nothing about tennis right near our table! I wonder if he had the lobster spring rolls.... they were good.
It was funny walking back down from the Trocadero to the hotel after dinner because all of the guys that sell miniature Eiffel Towers swap these for cheap bottles of champagne that they try and flog to you for €10, so you can drink it while you watch the lights on the Eiffel Tower giving good opportunity for someone to steal your wallet.
Anyway today we travel to Epernay by train to start our 1 week self guided cycling tour around the Champagne region.
