The flight from Hong Kong to London was long... and long (and Qantas was no better!) London was surprisingly warm and sunny. What a shame that I was stuck indoor. And what do you know, Vienna was wet and cold when I got in... Luckily it improved.
I may get stoned here but I found Vienna fairly non-descript - very much like any big European city, except you can see the image of Sissi (one of the Austrian queens) and Mozart everywhere!
Ate Sacher Torte at Hotel Sacher (surprisingly moist... even without the cream!), handmade chocolates and lots of schnitzels, potato and cabbage... and pickled herring in a bun! Drunk Viennese coffee and Austrian wine. Heard the Vienna Boys Choir sing and went to the Ballet at the Staatsoper and saw the Spanish Riding school horses heading to their perfromance. Yep, I did exactly what a tourist would do. But highlight was definitely Kunst Haus - very Gaudiesque. Enjoy http://www.kunsthauswien.com/
