Mani seemed enchanted by the idea of going to the same place where the revered Thai king holidays, and so the expensive Hua Hin was afforded a stop. The setting is pretty nice - golden sands, clear blue water and all that. For some reason, it is a favourite destination of German tourists and expats with every other restaurant serving frankfurters and huge glasses of Bavarian beer. We spent a few days lounging on the beach where we were confronted with a good reason to give this town a miss - the rather old age of the average tourist. Now, I'm not ageist but when on the beach, everyone likes to check out the talent. Unfortunately, the 'talent' in this case was limited to wrinkly, leathery skin, big hanging guts, and drooping man-tits. Nice.
