Today has rained or drizzled all day - but being British we carry on regardless and make the most of it and we did.

Before heading down the Peninsula towards the Bay of Plenty we visited Cathedral Cove - only accessible by either boat or walking along the headland for 30 minutes - well worth the walk.

Had a good journey to a Tauranga - a larger town on the Bay of Plenty. Pete has an ex golfing buddy, Dean, who emigrated here last January with his wife, Jill, and two children and we are staying with them for two nights - WEY HEY a proper bed....... Luxury!!

Arrived here late afternoon after contacting Dean only last night. Unbeknown to us Jill's parents are visiting from England so they already have a house full, but everyone has made us extremely welcome. Dean has taken the day off work tomorrow to show us around the area - looking forward to that.

Today travelled 173 Kms.
