Malacca Strait N 01° 23.9' E 103° 14.3'
Scheduled to leave at 07:00, were away promptly at 09:00. Good view of the city and anchorages. Then intermittent islands and coastline as we proceed up the Strait. As I write this at about 16:00, we can see Melaka (aka Malacca) about five miles off to starboard. The sea is calm, but there's more wind than our 20kt creates, I think.
But the main weather news is it's hot: thirty-one Celsius in the shade at noon. And the air conditioning isn't anywhere near coping. So, you go outside for a bit, get hot and come in for a bit, get hot with higher humidity but less breeze, then go out and so on. I'm no longer looking forward to the Red Sea!
