Traffic pretty hideous as usual but I'm sure it would be worse on a weekday! Found the scariest tightest parking building in the world Andrea and I had our eyes shut just waiting for the grinding of metal on concrete, fortunately didn't happen. Walked (in the wrong direction for the first ten minutes) to Pike Place Market, its in a massive building all on different levels, spent ans hour or two wandering about, barely spent any money it was all overpriced and very samey samey, nothing different to what we would get at a local market at home and in fact probably less variety.
We then went for a walk down the waterfront, in order to get there Garry took us down some stairs which went right thru the middle of the homeless peoples home, the rest of us got thru ok but not sure what Stephen did but they appeared to hurl abuse at him...he's really not sure what they said but it wasn't in a friendly how you doing tone
Lots of gift, junk and tourist shops on the waterfront kept us entertained for a couple of hours.
Did a drive by the space needle, as close as I want to get thanks and headed back to Tacoma to spend the night at Janine's.
Called in to pick up a pizza for tea, I think we ended up in the not so nice part of town but was fine and pizza was yum, the joys of being a tourist , you occasionally end up in places the locals probably wouldn't recommend you go.
Spent the evening rearranging our suitcases and trying to redistribute a bit of weight as the car is getting a bit heavy in the back and its nothing to do with Andrea and I but a lot to do with the amount of shopping we may have done.
