Day 3

Had a great fly on the tent just the sound of 47 million crickets..very cool. Woke up around 6 and just laid there until 8ish. Put the Jimmy Deans on and packed up. Great top down day for driving. I was going to do the back roads until I saw the speed sign that said "Maximum 75 Minimum 40" Well that suits me fine as Me and “Rosie” (I like to call the car Rosie on this adventure. Sort of an African Queen kinda thing) have decided that our optimal speed is 53 mph. This is based on millage, running temp. and annoying other drivers.  They go like Billy-B-Damed down here. It was pretty much an uphill climb for the day. We're at around 1700 feet now. I stopped for the night in a place called Chamberlain on the Missouri River. The campground is so-so. The view of the river as I got to it was insane. Just can’t explain how grand it looked. Truly magnificent! Still having computer wireless issues so I wouldn’t be updating my first blog again…Grrrrrr! It’s around 21:30, dark, I’ve had some drink so it’s read and sleepy time.  I can see stars so it’s fly off again. Tomorrow is the BIG day when I arrive at my destination. Passed 1K miles today.

Good night
