Where I stayed
I had booked my ticket over the internet and realise that I have booked my seat in Second Class even though I have a first class ticket. The train is pretty packed so when I get to the transfer point I show them my ticket and ask if I can sit in First Class. I can and it is great, I sleep about an hour on the way there and feel a little bit revived but know I am in for a big 4 days.
I've had a couple of complaints why don't I write more in the Private Blogs when exciting things happen and I am not having an adventure for half the day on a train
Four days of sleeping weird hours if I slept at all, Four days of meeting some cool people, especially my hosts Andrew and Jessie and their friend Alma. Alma taught me the most important phrase in the German language "Du bist heist" or "You are hot!" it comes in very handy. I wished I knew a bit more german one of my favourites is "ungloubly" or "unbelieveable" It was absolutely amazing, I hope the pictures do it justice. But in a nutshell I saw:
Tarja Turen (ex lead singer from Nightwish)
London After Midnight
And a fair few DJ sets
There are 24 venues to choose from but the bigger bands are on in two main venues, there are over 10,000 people attending and so many of them look amazing.
My couch is the best I have ever had it is a king sized bed (if we were at Jordans it would be room enough for 5) all to myself in my own room, there are two bathrooms and I get to unpack my stuff, hang some up and even do my washing when I am there. It is absolute heaven.
Jessie is a complete angel and is brilliant the whole time, we spend a lot of time together talking and I will miss her when I go.
The last night at Jessie and Andrews was supposed to be an all nighter staying up with Christian but I am pretty beat so I decide to stay in and help them pack as they are leaving to go back to the States early Tuesday morning, did I say early? 4am early so we decide to drink some of the left over alcohol and watch movies, Andrew also burns my pictures to CD and fixes my memory stick which I accidentally got water spilled on, that kinda happens when you put your handbag in the sink of a moving train!
4am comes around far too quickly and its time to say goodbye. We pile all their luggage into the car and there isn't any room for me. Not to matter I am fairly familiar with Leipzig by now so at 4.20am I walk and tram it back to the station.
