I wake up at 9am and Thierry is already up, I shower and then re-arrange my things so that hopefully they fit better in the backpack. Theirry has Wednesdays off work so we spend the morning chatting and drinking tea. I am sad to leave perhaps we will catch up in Australia or Africa.
The train from Strasbourg leaves 5 minutes late. I am informed by the ticket inspector that I get a meal with my first class ticket. I only just grabbed a baguette and a strawberry tart only an hour ago. But since I only had tea for breakfast I can keep some of it until later. Sometimes the gods provide even when you don't ask for food an abundance, perhaps they got their days mixed up.
When the train arrives at the station I have 2 mintues to get my bag and get across the platform to get on to my train to Munich. Of course my carriage is right at the other end so the guard suggests I get on and just walk through the carriage, with my backpack, hitting people as I go. I must look funny so overburdened. I find my seat an it is in a room with 3 business people they spend the time talking on their phones with their self-importance I do not think they have heard of peace and quiet. The man in the middle has spread his stuff right across the three seats, I inform him that I have booked the 'FENETRE' or window seat he huffs then moves his stuff.
When it is time to check my tickets I cannot find them, in the hurry I put them on a shelf, with my bags, it has my passport and my Eurail ticket with it.
There is a connecting train from Stuttgart to Munich and I have 7 minutes to get it. By the time I get in at the station I have 2 mins to get it. Its tight but I make it and have to walk most of the way through the carriage to first class.

My heart skips a beat if I have lost them it will take awhile to organise things. Luckily I see them, I mistook them for a discarded lot of tickets and everything is fine. It is a lesson learnt that I will keep an eye on my tickets in the future.
I get to Munich and find my way easily enough with the directions that Norbs has sent me to his house. I get the tram from the main station and go three stops. He is not there when I arrive so I plonk it on his front step. He gets there about 15 minutes later. Its great to see a familiar face and not just someone you have gotten to know through Couchsurfing. Norbs came on one of the couchsurfing trips down the Great Ocean Road with me and Alisdair. Its a cool set up and he has an Italian guy staying with him aswell.
We relax in for the night listening to music and watching videos and chatting. I have a big day ahead of me with only one day to see Munich. We go to bed at 1am and I am beat.
