My last day in Tours and I sleep in until 10am, Helios has already dropped Coralie off at the exhibition and I am showered when he returns.  I ask him if there is a laudramat close by as I am running short of clothes and need to do a wash before my backpack can walk on its own.

So today is Lavage du jour (Washing Day), exciting huh? how'd thunk that I could make a post about Washing, nonetheless I am, so be prepared to be enthralled.   I pack up my backpack with my clothes and rid it of the heavy stuff and together we work out  how to use the machine.  I have washing liquid and am a bit unsure of what quanitities to use but I guess the worst thing is that there can be bubbles right?

Its a 28 minute cycle so we head back to the flat, Helios assuring me that the machines lock until done so no-one can steal the washing Lavage or Laundry Day
Lavage or Laundry Day
.  I get back with 5mins to spare and do 3 times of drying, I thought synthetics were quick drying, apparently not.  When I return Helios and I hunt for Asus notebooks on eBay, we came up with the great idea to buy me one and then sell it when I return to Australia, they only cost about 300 Euro and sell for much the same on eBay.  They have a wireless internet modem and all railway stations in France have free WiFi, so it will save me having to find an internet cafe and pay as its quite expensive and as I still have 7 weeks to go it makes sense.  There is one I can pick up in Paris that is going for under 300euro and has an English QWERTY keyboard, so hopefully not many people bid on it.

Helios makes lunch and then I head off on my own to the old part of town and sit by the river contemplating. I think when I return I wil definately get my own place and host people as its such a rewarding experience and you get so much out of it being both a host and a surfer.

I have a tea in the Place Plumereau and then head back to the flat.  I will spend 2 days in a Youth Hostel in Nantes as I think I need a bit of a break then I have a new host Cyril; who is a boardgame nut for a couple of days mid week before I head to Paris for the weekend.  Viva La France!
