Weather : Sunny windy 20-30 mph
Temp: 87 ºF Accommodation: Monte Carlo Hotel Off to explore the Red Rock Casino ..(saw that on Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen show, so gotta check it out) Very nice, new, no tacky neon lights or giant billboard. It's considered a local hotel.. Since we are in Vegas, our first buffet . After lunch we are looking for a WalMart to buy supplies for the road trip. We found a WalMart Neighborhood Market that just sell grocery like an IGA . Found out later that this is a new 'concept' for WalMart. It's bad enough that WalMart took over the grocery market when it started to sell grocery. I think it should leave the small grocery chain alone.
Picked up snacks and drinks. Drove further and found regular WalMart. Stopped and picked up the rest of the supply. Head downtown and wander around for a while . Stop at the old El Cortez hotel to play a few slots. The casino is located in the East Fremont area. Very old, looks like it has been there since the '50s and nothing is changed. Went to have the $1.99 shimp cocktail and beer for $1.00 at the Golden Gate Casino. Afterwards we watch the Fremont experience at 7:30pm, practice taking pictures with our camera using diff settings for a while. Back to the hotel , have pizza at food court then off to bed.
