We started early the next morning and worked our way back up to Picton, so that we could get the ferry back to the North island.
We stopped a few times on the way and arrived at Picton with enough time to check in our luggage and grab some lunch. Luckily there was a Subway near by.
Back on the ferry again and saying goodbye to the South island, it was a beautiful day and the Marlborough Sounds looked lovely.
As stunning as the South Island is, I prefer the North.
The Scenery is beyond belief in the South, but the people let it down.
Give me the North any day of the week.
We had a good sailing (no dolphins this time) and arrived back in Wellington in the early evening. I had met a woman on the bus and we went out for a walk around Wellington and to get some dinner.
A very early start in the morning 7am and an even longer trip, we were going to be expressing it back to Auckland in one go. Oh joy!
