I ask the lady at the front desk where I could find a place to have breakfast and she recommended a café down at the harbor but it didn't open till 7am. So at 7am off I went and had a lovely meal overlooking the bay. I had a wonder around the still sleeping town, not sure if it is a town, the population is only about 3000. I saw and advert for a boat hand on a cruise vessel named the rock. In return for helping the guest fish, kayak, shot, swim with dolphins, eat and drink you get free room and food. I've got to save money some where so I phone the guy up and at about 9.15am we met up for a cup of tea. By 11am I had booked out of my hostel and my stuff was stowed away on the rock. The two guy's who were already there were Paul a lad from up north and Clayton a French Canadian. I spent the rest of my day looking around the boat and fishing off of the end
As I was trying to catch anything of off the back of the boat, when Paul shouted at us to look forward. As we did there was a pod of dolphins, it was a sight to see and the reason I wasn't catching any bloody fish, the dolphins would soon become the bane of my short career on the Rock. That evening we all piled into the very small dingy and headed back to dry land to go to Pete's (the Boss) house for dinner. As I was the new person on board I got to cook. I think this was a small test to see if I could cook, I made the only thing I can spag bog. It was lovely. Back on the dingy to the boat and to bed-starting to have a few doubts about the job when I fond out that when they don't have customers on board there is no electricity or hot water.
