We also went to bastion Point which was surrounded by beautifully kept gardens; it's strange the flora and fauna is so similar to the UK'S, but then you see a tropical plant and realises how different the climates are, even though it has rained nearly every day so far. I arrived back at base at about 3pm met up with Mo and headed to the sky tower, I think it is the largest free standing building in the southern hemisphere., absolutely hated it-I think it has something to do with my fear of highs!. The lift goes up the outside of the building and it has a glass window, I looked at the floor a lot
That's one thing that I have notice about this country, the sky is so different, the sun rises and sets the wrong way round and the stars are completely different it, strange not being able to see the north star. The water drains down the plug the wrong way as well. But enough of things going the wrong way at least they drive on the right side of the road.
Just to let you know there are mad people who jump off of the sky tower, they put you in a jump suit and connect you to two guide wires and then you jump off-madness complete madness.
