I woke up with the pilot announcing we were on final approach to Charlotte, North Carolina.  It was still dark when we landed at about 6:15 am.  Feeling like a zombie, I wandered around until I found the gate for my final flight to Pensacola.  I grabbed a muffin and orange juice at a kiosk and sat and waited for the flight to start boarding.  As I sat and waited, the sun came up.  As If I didn't have enought different time zone changes to deal with on this trip home, we changed over to Daylight Savings Time at 2:00 this morning.  It seems awfully early to be doing that, but no one consulted me on this change :)

They finally started boarding at about 8:10 am. We left on time at 8:30 from the gate and taxied down to the runway.  We took off and turned Southwest towards Pensacola.  I sat and read for while and before long, we were landing in Pensacola.  AB and Pia, who had been house sitting for me, were waiting for me in the arrivals area.  They were kind enought to come meet me at the airport and give me ride back home.  We drove back to my condo and I dropped my bags in the livingroom.  After a short chat with AB and Pia, I drove to the grocery store to buy a few groceries to fill my empty refrigerator with some food.  It was so strange driving on the right side of the road again!

Well, I have been gone on this adventure for about 50 days.  It has been an awesome experience seeing Australia and New Zealand.  It has been the trip of a lifetime.  I am glad to be back home though and I am glad for those of you who followed my travels through this blog.  Being able to share this trip with you all through this blog and getting your comments, emails and feedback along the way made it a more pleasurable adventure to travel alone.  Thanks for traveling with me virtually!
