I tried to be sensible and ask for directions to the Mex 15 south but got sent around the block and up the garden path. I should just have retrace my route in!
I have had enough of the Mex 15D the peaje road, too expensive for the gain in time. Due to my poor map I had struggled to find the Mex 15 the free route.
I tried to find it at Guasave but just ended up back on the 15D hot and sweaty after a trawl round the town.
Eventually found it at one of the exist further down the 15D. That's a bit more like it proper bendy up and down roads but there are more speed bumps, but you get them on the peaje as well, in fact at one place they had stalls on the centre reservation.
This area appears to be a little more affluent than Sonora, it is very agriculture centered, no desert here
The toll booth bandits caught me again even on the "free road", that's sneaky!
The crops and flat lands eventually gave way to the hills and fair biking roads, bends and ups and downs. Oh for something faster! Oops! the speed limit is 80kph so perhaps not. Not that the locals observe any limits, hence all the speed bumps.
Stopped at Mazatlan for the night, Bungalows Sol Mar. Mazatlan is not really a preferred choice, a typical Mexican / American resort development area = more expensive.
Another night on the net, I will get current with this blog one day.

Am I lost?
