Made it to Pucon... still raining, not much to do...
I could go away... but the thing is that Pucon is next to volcan Villarica... a volcano that spurts lava! I would like to see that. The only lava I saw was from the kitchen of our aparment in Douala, watching the eruption of Mt Cameroun... from dozens of km away! And that was more than 20 years ago, one of my earliest memories.
Sooooo... I want to see that volcano, even if I have to wait another 3 days, and even though I will have to take a guided hike, that should cost me over 50 euros...
Waiting, I will be reading and studying my spanish I guess, as well as working on the eternal late emails pile...
Oh, there is a new feature on Travelpod: the maps have been switched to google maps... try clicking on the links on the maps, to get a general view of the trip, or to go to the satellite view... and you can zoom like hell, just like with google earth, but directly on the website.
So from now on I will try to place my map pins acurately, so that with a zoom you can see the exact place.
For example if you zoom on the map pin of this entry, you are in Pucon. Go directly south, and you will see volcano Villarica, covered in snow, but still the lava can be seen in one spot

Je sais! Et en plus avec le temps pourri c'est plein de neige la haut... Mais la station est pas ouverte, c'est encore l'automne ici... Merci de me faire baver...
