The original plans were to go to Isla Lemuy, near Chonchin, and then go to the local fishing contest to see what there was to eat, and then head south to the tip of Chiloe, the city of Quellon, the end of the Panamericana highway.
But I was tired, and felt I had spent enough time on Chiloe, and travelling in a group, and I needed to sort out a parcel to send home, so I decided I'd start to go north. I still went to visit Chonchin with Marie. Walking to the end of the pier there was a huge sea lion in the water, 10 meters from us. Just a normal sight here.
We took the bus north, I stopped in Castro, while Marie continued to Puerto Montt.
Finally the post office was not open in the afternoon, so I could not send my parcel. Still I prepared it and burnt my pictures on dvds and spent time on internet.
I also met travellers at the guesthouse and spent much time talking, I prepared the next steps of the trip, which as usual is heartbreaking as you have to decide what you will skip!
In the evening I went to the church with french Franck, it was easter mass. Candles and a few songs, then the story of the creation of the world but by the sixth day we were bored and went back to the hostel.
Went to bed very late, after reading and chatting with others for hours again.
