Having met Amandine, I had planned to stay one more day in UB in order to go to the Naran Tuul market with her, as she needed a saddle, a briddle, and other horseriding equipment.

As we could not find a minibus to the market, we went into a taxi, told the driver our destination, agreed on the price... only to find that the market was closed on tuesdays... the taxi driver, hardly refraining from smiling, asked us something like "and now, where do you want to go?" Well, back to the city centre, of course. As he found that we were good looking chickens, he tried to take the road to the countryside, arguing that he could not make a left turn at an intersection... that's when we got off the taxi and walked!

So we had to go to the market on wenesday. We found all that we needed, and after a last shopping in town, we were ready for going to the countryside.

These last days in UB I also spend some time with the other travellers, Xavier the lonely horserider, Liv who came back to the guesthouse because she was sick (quote from the few days before: "yeah you can drink tap water, no problem, look at me, I'm doing fine!"), Amandine and Dalvina the swiss girls, and many others...

For their last evening at the guesthouse, our three italians Paolo, Massimiliano and Armando gave us a flute/bombardino/sax concert. They are part of the FIATISPRECATI big band in Florencia, and came to Mongolia as voluntary workers for an orphanage. We had to move the concert to Amandine's ger when a grumpy old Dane came out complaining about the "shity" music, which everyone else was definitely enjoying. A bottle of french wine, a bottle of italian wine, a few liters of beers, and the party went on late in the night.
