There I was this monday morning, Andy and Liv were gone, and thankfully Angelique was there... because I was still ill and did not know what to do... I was getting tired of staying in UB, but I could not go for a 2 week horseriding trek with my cough.
So finally I figured out I should take a one week tour to the Gobi desert, waiting for my health to strengthen, and to go riding for 10 days afterwards... I was not very enthousiatsic at that plan, but it was the best one I could come up with.
Angelique was doing well: while I was looking for that Gobi trip, she found out that the lady there was hiring motorcycles with side-cars. I think that this settles her plans: when I leave Mongolia, I will let her have my camping equipment (that she will drop later in Beijing at my dad's), and she will go with the bike and side-car.
I also met Xavier, who arrived from France, and plans to go 2 months horseriding on his own. He has been doing that for a couple of years, and discussing with him allowed me to check my preparation, which seems good overall.
But I was still not completely satisfied with my plans. To be true, I even was a bit lost. And there came the solution. I went for my laundry, and who do I meet? Amandine, a swiss girl and an experienced horserider (in switzerland): after a few words explaining our plans, we decided to go horseriding together. So we'll go to the market to get her equipment, and then take the minibus to tsetserleg.
I am still ill, but I am so relieved that I found someone to come along. Getting back into movement...
