Revolving a day back around the world - From
there I will be one day
younger... and if I can't
get used to the idea,
maybe I'll just have to do
it again the other way...

As we are going to be travelling together for over a month, there is some preparation and logistics to be worked out: itinerary, what do we want to see, etc...
We bought the lonely planets for China and Vietnam, and we worked out a well-furnished planning, keeping the choice to zap some places.
We will meet in Beijing at the end of june, to visit our father, who lives there. We will stay for about a week, and then head south. In fact, we are taking the opportunity of the three of us having one month together on holiday to go to Vietnam, land of some of our ancestors. We used to visit from time to time our Grand Mother in London, she was a pure vietnamese, who emigrated after the french fled from Indochina.
We will start by stopping over in Chongqing, having a 3-day cruise on the Yang-Tse to Yichang, and then we will go to Hanoi. We plan to do this by train.
Once in Vietnam, the plan is simple: starting from Hanoi, we will spend a night in Along, and then head south for 2 weeks until we reach Saigon (Ho-Chi-Minh City). Hopefully we will have spared some time to go see the Mekong Delta.
On the 31st of july Alix will fly back to Toulouse. Vincent is booked on the same plane, unless he takes the opportunity to visit his firend Guillaume in Korea.
From then I will move on to Cambodia, Thailand, etc...
