UNDER CONSTRUCTION...

I don't intend to write too much about my feelings, but I had to explain, starting with myself, the why and how of my leaving. Another change was getting back to solo travel, after a month travelling with my 2 brothers. I wrote a few lines on the threshold, when you have mingled enough with the country to feel like a fish in the water (usually after around 3 weeks at least). After a "break" visiting familly and friends, I had a hard time getting back to social travel habits, especially as I was in a very touristic place. Sometimes there is bad mood too. After 11 months travelling, I paused and thought... why not stay longer? And what about making friends while travelling?

The short and simple "one year travelling" assessment.

One thing I travel for, and that can be experienced only on the spot, is that at times one can have the priviledge to attend to local daily life and events. Meeting the mongolians in their ger, throughout the Orkhon valley, was a unique experience, and then I was invited for a couple of days by a familly in their house in Tariat. There I also attended a Nadaam, a festival held to soothe the spirits. One thing that also touched me in Mongolia was the hummi singing.

Along with the Mongolian, the other People I have come to love is the Burmese. I tried to give a glimpse of Burmese ways, and I also posted an entry to follow the request of many Burmese that I should advocate visiting Myanmar.

I'll need to write a few entries about these people down there in Oz and NZ

A few observations in Buenos Aires, and after a while I had to give up trying to put Patagonia Espectacular into words. More observations in Uruguay.
