Pedro was never sleepy on holiday, but mannerly awaited for everyone in the group to join him before heading down to the pool for water related fun. Once poolside, the boys would crack open a few Budweisers and laugh at the antics of Pedro showing off for the ladies. Demonstrating his athleticism in the water,
Enough was enough. No longer did Pedro attempt circus moves to get attention. Instead he outed his shy friend - who bobbed up and down at the side of the pool watching the semi-naked girls - for having a Paddy Bonner in public.
Carrying on with his morning's exercise Pedro went for a game of tennis. It was not a game he played often, but it was one of his holiday traditions to play at least a set in the searing afternoon heat. Not being a very good player Pedro slashed at the ball sending it high over the fifteen foot fence surrounding the court. Unluckily, the ball ended up in the middle of the motorway. One tennis ball usually costs two pounds, but having put a twenty euro deposit down for using the equipment Pedro was sure as hell not handing over that kind of money for one stupid ball. So, finding a hole in the fence, Pedro squeezed his expanding keg through and ran across the motorway. Throwing the ball over he had thought everything was sorted. Until he stuck his head out to cross back over the road, only then noticing that he was standing in an island on the middle of the motorway and could not see the cars coming around the corner at 100 mph.
After an action packed morning, Pedro found solace on top of a sun-bed where he spent the rest of the day relaxing. Awaking early in the evening Pedro felt sore. His skin was burning. Pale Pedro had lay in the sun, lotion free for over two hours soaking up rays that singed his body. It was overcast when Pedro went for a nap and he thought the cover of cloud would protect him against the afternoon sun. However, he paid the price and after all the risk taking he had finally succumbed to punishment by taking the biggest risk of all - underestimating the ferocity of the Mediterranean sun.
