We stop at what appears to be a Mawamba Lodge managed restaurant at 0830. Buffet salads and fruit. Although i have had my breakfast feel compelled to give the buffet a go. Frankfurters in salsa, fruit etc.
We went off a wonder to see the river from in front of our room, and 50 yards behind our pool and restaurant the caribbean sea. Nice quiet beech. Lunch was served at 1230hrs a buffet arrangement. A salad bar and a juice bar. 3 days of this is going to close the temple. Fresh grilled fish, mash, and salads. We went around the grounds to meet the resident Iguanas and everyone spent ages photographing them, we have seen hundreds, bit like waterfalls in NZ or Yew trees in Ireland!
Boat left at 1430hrs for Tortuguera village with our guide Frank. He took us around the very small village and left us to wonder around and get back home on foot. Drank another coconut by the beach after touring the various tourist trap shops. Walked home along the beach and S picked up a bag of driftwood? We keep an eye open for baby tortoise hatchlings emerging from their nests along the beach but unlucky on this occaision.
Back at Lodge we swim in the super pool. Super walk in monsoon shower and great lodge room.
Sit poolside and use internet
