0545 and builders arrive to continue works on building 3rd floor extension on top of our 2nd floor room. Quick exit to poolside. Swim and more internet. Breakfast in restaurant by the beach, a buffet. Scrambled eggs and rice with beans and fruit hardly original but location makes up for content.
Drive south to Uvita to try to find a boat that will take us to Sirena in Corcovado NAtional Park. Paid to sit on Uvita Beach in National Park and ate lunch - egg and rice from breakfast!
Met with a few tour operators who gave us a variety of options for Sirena. This is the ultimate wildlife location, Pumas, crocodiles etc and not easy to get to.
Drive back 1 hour to Manuel Antonio again in torrential rain!
Stopped in outside town at Milaigre coffee shop set up by two US travellers in 1992 and fantastic but expensive. Coconut pie and cold choc coffee drink, great. Shop next door selling Banana, Hemp and Coconut made t shirts. T shirts made form coconut leaves cool!
Sat poolside on internet trying to find boat to Sirena.
Showered in room and changed for dinner! all sounds rather civilised and normal for us.
The menu that is included in our rate looks basic but on the plate is passable. I have prawns and fried rice which comes with chips! and vegetables. Again restaurant location makes up for other shortfalls, on the beach. A racoon makes a dash through the restaurant for the recycle bins and the staff flap around trying to get rid of the vermin while all the guests try to photograph it.
