Had quite an early start this morning for us, considering the amount of late night drinking and dart throwing that we seem to be getting through. Made our way out to Tokyo Tower - Tokyo's answer to the Eiffel Tower (but red and white) and took some great shots over the mass of skyscrapers that makes this City one of the worlds biggest.

Umbrellas were out again unfortunately but not for as long as the previous day/night where we got absolutely soaked through. It is the rainy season afterall but it does give some respite from the constant humidity of the city.

The afternoon was spent on Roppongi Hills, an enormous entertainment and development complex that took Mr Mori a whopping 17 years to construct. The Mori Tower - a phenomenal beast of a building which dominates the Toyo skyline is its centre piece and well worth the visit and the £5 entrance fee. From the 52nd floor, we had an awesome view of the city and again excellent opportunities for photographs from 250m up in the air. This place is a must for any visitor to Tokyo!

Our first authentic Japanese cuisine was enjoyed in one of the 50 or so restaurants in the Mori Tower. Prawns the size of a cod from Ruby's Fish & Chip Shop - I kid you not!

I forgot to mention yesterday an embarrassing moment for me, Carl and Chris whilst travelling back on the tube from Roppongi. A heads up as well for all future travellers to Tokyo. Don't assume all Japanese looking people are actually Japanese. Do so at your peril, particularly if you're planning on openly slagging off any poor girl's who are slightly out of gage on rear quarters, or who appear to have facial hair, have a builder's arse, visible tan lines, being in the top 5% fattest girls we'd seen since our arrival. In fact, Carl had moments earlier ironically said "She might not be Japanese...".Imagine all our faces when she turned around, smiled and said "Yes guys, I'm American". Oh dear!

Our feet are starting to hurt a little now after all the walking - some stout footwear may be a potential buy in Kyoto.

The nights do tend to descend into major drinking sessions - don't think we'll be able to sustain in for much longer. Going to have a good go though!
