Hey everybody! We've arrived safely in Tokyo after a 11 hour journey from London - no bloody upgrade!!!!! Caroline's Step Mum is firmly off the xmas card list (only joking!)
First day spent getting used to the sights of Tokyo (and the subway system) but we managed to find ourselves in Kabuki-Cho and Shinjuku for an excellent evening of drinking Mojitos and yes, darts! wpda's first international event was won by the Wolfman with a madhouse finish!
Some well earned rest ensued (we'd been awake for 36 hours) and off to bed for a great sleep. Mr Danvers Snr sporting his new Robbie Fowler type nasal attire ensured I also enjoyed a great nights sleep following the first bed draw of the month which has pitched me with him for the first three nights
Day 2 started wet. Very wet. Rain like we've never seen before. This didn`t deter us from making the trek across town to see the Imperial Palace gardens. However, after over an hour walking around (under some hastily bought £3 umbrellas) we gave up trying to find the actual palace. It's there somewhere (or so we're told)......
An afternoon shopping at the most amazing 9 floor electronics store (Sean - sorry mate, I couldnt buy a PS3 because its not the right format to use at home. Shame cos they are only £210 ere and games £25). We followed that with an impromptu golf session on the rooftop driving range - quality!
Off to Roppongi tonight for some serious karaoke (I hope). Checked it out last night in Shinjuku and there seems to be an adequate selection of Northern Based indie bands songs on offer!
Speak to you all soon,

Hi Fellas,
well, what a fucker. Your there drinking and darting to your hearts content enjoying exquisite Eastern delights whilst i'm decorating the babies room, errecting flat pack IKEA furniture.
Sounds like you've had a fab start to your vacation, Japan sounds wonderful, even in the rain! Great photos although i'm not sure about those girly drinks your sporting in pic 1.
Have a great onward journey to Australia and keep me fully posted as to your whereabouts and daily activities.
Tough luck on the room draw Frank although may I remind you that I have been equally as unlucky on past tours, i.e. Germany and Bratislava etc.
