Greetings from my second day in Belize. I arrived yesterday at around 11 in the morning. It was extremely hot, but we all were in such good moods it didn't matter. We then went to Peace Corps headquarters in Belize City for lunch and a ceremony. After that we left Belize City for San Ignacio which is on the eastern border of Belize only 15 miles from the guatemala border. The bus ride was great because we got to see some of the Belizian country side.
At the training center we were met with watermelon juice and fresh fruits. Since then it has been a whirl wind. Lots of training and getting to meet people. There are 34 people in our group and it is very diverse. five married couples, which is practically unheard of. The guy to girl ratio is pretty good and there are lots of chill people my age to hang out with. Everyone has such interesting backgrounds that I want to live all of them. Some have lived in Thailand, Saudi Arabia, all over europe, asia and the pacific islands. Its crazy how much all of them have done.
I have to get going right now, but I'll write again as soon as I can.
Love all
Peace
