I'm actually not sure if this is the LAST entry for a while. We have one computer at the retreat site, and I'm guessing the PC office has more than one computer...
Tonight's dinner: Japanese- miso soup and buckwheat noodles with soy sauce, ground onions, green onions and wasabi. For lunch, I had Quizno's. I'm trying to conserve the allowance money for Costa Rica.
On the way back to the hotel, we saw the top of Washington Memorial, but when I popped back outside for a picture, the clouds had rolled over. Did I mention it's been raining non-stop since I arrived? We all figure it's practice for Costa Rica, better get used to it, eh?
It's disappointing not to be able to see some of DC since I'm here. I'll come back with more time one day.
I repacked my bags. I've got 30 pounds in each and each bag is maybe halfway full. Here's the new inventory highlights:
5 books
2 swimsuits
7 pants
5 skirts
15 shirts
5 shorts
1 wetsuit
2 collapsable frisbees
1 messenger bag
3 bottles of sunscreen and sunscreen/repellant
2 bottles of repellant
Everyone else has SO much stuff- over 50 lbs per bag or pushing it. We will all discover the fine art of, "hmm... this shirt isn't as smelly as that one. I'll wear it." Right now, we haven't yet exhausted our wardrobes, but I have a feeling that point will come in the next two weeks.
So when it's all said and done, I guess I'm travelling relatively light. Everything could fit in one 26", the 22" and my duffel.
Signing off... and still in the States!!

Yello from TX
Well, I must say, it's still quite hot here in the heart of TX. Today we had a slight breeze in the morning, but then it was scorching by mid day. Great for the beach or jus laying out.

Reminder
Since you have space get more wet wipes and sun block
Dirty vs. Funky
The comedian Sinbad used to say a college student learns to tell the difference between dirty and funky.
Dirty you can wear again. Funky needs to be washed.
You PC folks might might need to master the difference between funky and whatever-is-worse-than-funky.
Hey from Houston
It's good that you pack light. I tend to take way too much (just in case). Anyway, I'm assuming your down in Costa Rica now. I can't wait to hear about your first impressions.
