The bus dropped us at Ica which is on the Panamerican highway then we got a taxi to San Andres, Piscos fishing port, where our hotel was, The Hotel Mirramar. (Be aware any travelers that think they've bought tickets directly to Pisco with Cruz del Sur, as none of their buses go there, they drop you at Ica and you get a cab from there!).
Pisco was practically destroyed last august by an earthquake and even a year on its still mainly rubble, it was quite an eye opener to see the effect its had on the community. So with that and the fact that I was ill for 2 days we didn't do much. We were supposed to be going to The Isla Ballestas a.k.a The Poor Mans Galapagos from here but we had to cancel the tour because I was way to ill to be bombing around the rough sea in a little boat.
Found out we could do the same tour from the oasis near Ica that we wanted to go to so we didn't hang around.
