Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my travel blog! On these pages I'm going to try to keep all of you, friends and family, up to date on what I'm doing down in South America. Hopefully, it will be of at least a little interest to you, and hopefully, the trip will be of interest to me! At this point, I can't really imagine that it wouldn't be a transformative, challenging and great experience. But sitting here in my familiar room in Pasadena, I also have the feeling that I know nothing of what's about to happen. So we'll see!

While I'm gone, know that I'm thinking of all of you, and I hope you have a wonderful and exciting spring, even if it's in the same place you've lived your whole life!

I miss California!! AHHH!! but i'm glad i missed the huge storms that went through :) good times!

Islands
I hear they have a lot of islands off the coast of Chile. Please bring me back an island. Also, I hear they have the deepest trench on the globe off of Chile. Please take pictures! And have fun! --Ben
