This morning we got up earlier and headed out to the Napa Valley. Was looking forward to doing some wine tasting and seeing the area. We drive to the welcome centre and got some information on kid friendly wineries. Had a Skype call with the Payne's trying to sort out some details for the kitchen and then continued on our way. Napa seems a great town. I googled the farms that were suggested and was surprised at the entry prices just to go in. We decided seeing as I was going to be the only one doing the tasting that it wasn't worth the expense. We did stop at the Robert Mondavi winery which was very sophisticated and upmarket. We sat on the patio while I did the tasting, decent portions but wasn't the same "sipping wine with the kids". We then drove up the 29 to Sterling and Castello Di Amorosa before heading back along the Silverado trail to Napa and back to Fairfax. The kids all had fun playing in the garden. We had a BBQ with the Hedlund's and then we all watched Megamind before bed.
