This morning we packed up. Larissa put on another spread for the family before saying goodbye and heading to Belmont. We met Astrid and her 3 kids Linnea, Eli and Sorren at their church Trinity First Presbyterian church. The last time the cousins saw each other neither of them were married and had kids. It was a thought provoking service, the kids enjoyed kids church then we headed to their house for lunch. Astrid and Thad are in the throws of a rebuild and so they are living a bit disjointed at the moment. Ginny and Carl joined us and then we headed to the local Belmont Save the Music festival, Carl headed home. We spent a few hours wandering around. Kids had a couple of goes on the bouncy castles and then the older 3 pooled their resources to try and win a great prize but the prizes were not all that great. Nice to see them though all working together for a common purpose. We watched a battle of the bands UC Davis verses Stanford. The girls tried out a dance routine and then the different types of music instruments at the instrument petting zoo. Paige rather got the hang of the clarinet, violin and the trumpet and Courtney the violin, chello, trombone and the trumpet. Roxton enjoyed playing the drums. It was then time to go so we said goodbye to all and headed on our way to Fairfax, Marin County to stay with John and family. We were warmly welcomed by John, Marla and their twin girls Brooke and Ashley. We had a nice evening before heading off to bed.
