We made it to Vienna this morning. The train trip was nice though I didn't sleep much, Luke seemed to sleep ok though, he always does.

We arrived at about 8:30 am and luckily the U-Bahn (subway) to the hotel is right at the train station, very easy and there were ESCALATORS, what a novelty.  Found the hotel fairly easily, it's right by the U-Bahn stop so didn't have more than a block to walk. And this hotel has an elevator, big sigh of relief.

Of course since we arrived early our room wasn't ready yet, so we left our stuff at the hotel and went out to see a few sights.  I knew we just needed to go straight down the street to get to the city center where the sights are concentrated, just wasn't sure left or right. Picked the wrong way but it didn't matter, just found the U-Bahn and went where we needed to go.

We wandered around awhile, but wasn't really finding what I thought I was looking for.  Mostly just tired and in desperate need of a shower, I'm just about traveled out. Finally found something familiar, Starbucks, so had a frappucino and a brownie and relaxed a bit and felt much better.  After that decided really too tired to do much so headed back to the hotel, got our room, and took a much needed shower.  Sat down to relax and we both basically passed out and took a long nap.  Needless to say, we didn't do much sightseeing.

The hotel is nice, room is small but comfortable, nice location and NO STAIRS!  Very friendly staff.

We went to a local restaurant a couple blocks away for dinner recommended by the hotel owner, Luke of course had Wienerschnitzel, new name schnitzel boy. Now back in the room, still tired, going to sleep early.

We'll meet up with my brother Ed tomorrow and hopefully see a little of Vienna.
