Got an early start today on our way to New Mexico.
We travelled from Dallas to Oklahoma City, then on to Los Alamos Texas and finally made it into Tucumcari just before nightfall.
Hungry we asked about a restaurant and were directed to Dean's Place where the meatloaf, mashed potato, green beans and corn were the home-spun meal Jose Luis was looking for, while the Chicken fajitas hit the spot for me. Interesting that this was another dry town, no wine, beer, just ice tea or sodas.
We will be heading through Arizona tomorrow with our last stop before we arrive in Las Vegas
