Here we go again with the new travelpod travel blog. For those of you who are used to this site and are able to withstand my ramblings then I hope you enjoy. Those of you who are new to this, welcome and I also hope you enjoy! Tonight is the eve before I embark on my next journey so here is a run down of my last three weeks in Australia. November the 3rd was Ryan's birthday so come Saturday, November the 5th their was a pilgrimage like journey where pretty much everyone converged on the holy land....Canberra! It began with a BBQ in Weston park where we were all able to catch up. Then the masses moved onto a pub in Ainsley, Edgars. As most of you reading this were actually there it seems a little silly giving a recount of the evening and besides....it's all a little hazy anyway!! All I can say is that is was great to see everyone as always. I was lucky just to have the opportunity to say goodbye to almost everyone before heading to London. I'll miss you all dearly and I love you lots but I'm not worried as it's only until the end of March when we'll be back for my sisters wedding. It's going to be a fantastic day on the Great Ocean Road, can't wait Katie!!!!

Following the big weekend I made my way back home to the Sunshine Coast to finish up work and count the days until my departure. Being able to go for a surf at the drop of a hat is something that shouldn't be taken for granted. It has helped me think about something other than going overseas which is what is on my mind pretty much 99.99% of the time. Unfortunately I had to get some moles removed which kept me out of the water for a while. Those days passed slower than any other!! As soon as I got my stitches out I went for a surf immediately and got quite sun burnt. Really smart Paul!!! Anyway, I finished up work on Sunday and had a bit of a farewell shindig with my work buddies from "Fish on Parkyn" where I've been working since April. The attatched photos should sum up the evening. Thanks to everyone from the Sunshine Coast who made my time here special and fun. You all rock and won't be forgotten! Well everyone, be safe, have fun and keep in touch. I'm off to London (brrrrrrr!!!!)on Thursday (24th/11) to meet up with Kate and I dare say my next blog will be from sunny (hopefully) and warm (definately) Rio de Janeiro. Stay tuned! Love Pauly.
