Another beautiful day it was. Three days in a row of little rain has made it incredible. Windy, and just occasional showers. The saying in Denver, is "if you don't like the weather wait a minute" is more applicable here. You can have sun, rain, wind, and sleet in a matter of five minutes.

We made it to the first tee without warming up so I was quite concerned about yesterday and continuing on. This is the 2006 Ryder Cup course. Stunningly beautiful is an understatement!

Since we didn't warm up, we allowed a mulligan on the first tee box. Of course I needed mine. But I played well. We started on the 8th tee due to the massive renovations being done to the clubhouse. Number 8 is a narrow and short par 4. A river runs down the left side. I put my first shot in the drink, and sliced my mulligan into the right hand rough. Not a good beginning, but soon got my clubs and all aspects of my game working. We ended on a very difficult par 5. Not quite as difficult as yesterday, but two sides of the green were surrounded by water. A nice drive, and a great 3 wood set me up for a 130 yard shot for the green. My 7 iron was the right club although I hit it a touch fat. I ended up on the front of the green, about 60 feet from the pin for a birdie putt. An excellent putt left me three feet for par and sunk it to finish an excellent round, for me, at 93. Significantly better than yesterday's 111.
