The cops came over and sent over Forensics to try and get prints - as they spent a fair bit of time in our apartment, but didn't find any. I don't think we'll have much chance recovering our goodies.
We're in a secure building, on the 6th floor - and our building managers don't really wanna know about it. The more people we talk to, the more we hear it happens in our building quite a bit.
We're so moving out of here. Note to self: back up computer.
We were broken into today while we were both at work. Paul's parents have gone on a road trip for the week, so our apartment was empty the entire day and someone new it. Paul came home to find nothing much different, the lock was in tact, and just noticed that the laptop wasn't where we usually leave it. He called me to ask if I'd taken it to work and as soon as he asked me where it was, I knew what had happened. As the week has gone on, we've realised more and more is gone, and they pretty much went through the whole place. So far, our laptop (with all our photos from the last year) is gone, a digital camera, a video camera, cash, and some old cards. Luckily they didn't realise my backpack had my slr camera and lenses in it- so they left that behind.
