Another month, about time for another travelpod entry....

So, what's been happening? Since the last exciting homeless installment I've moved in to a place flatsitting with some lasses from the madhouse we got the boot from. It's worked out really well as it's exceptionally cheap (just over 32 of your English pounds a week) and for just the right number of weeks until it's time to pack the bags and move on.

After this week, there's just a fortnight of working left until the final bumper pay packet stuffed full of extra holiday cash arrives in my account. I'm also trying to boost the bank balance by selling my car, so if you know anyone heading down here that needs a car with a colourful history then let me know... Tell them to pack a large variety of clothes though, springtime weather in Welly is interesting to say the least, today, as yesterday, we've had warm sunshine following by a crazy blustery torrential downpour.

In other news, I've been getting my face out and about. I'm now on the regional land transport strategy, the annual monitoring report and I've been on the telly. I played in the national korfball champs which we won and TV3 came down and did a piece on it. As well as being a national champ, since being in welly I've been playing in the social league and we've won that twice.

I've been to see the Pheonix play again, another 2-2 draw. They've since managed a win, but being a very fair weather fan I didn't bother making an appearance that squally night. They're currently enjoying mid table obscurity which for a Kiwi team in the A-League is alright.

Last weekend I failed to make it to Kapiti Island, a DOC wildlife reserve just up the coast. It's limited to a strict number of people and unfortunately it was too windy for the boat to go over so it was called off. Never mind.

Tata for now, I'll probably be back on my travels by the next entry so prepare yourself for thrills and spills!
