We travel through dull farmland and grim billboard strewn towns to make it into Yosemite just before dusk to catch the awe-inspiring cliffs, mountains, canyons and the highest waterfall in North America. A couple of shortish hikes the next day take in a few more spectacular waterfalls and giant sequoias. Photographs simply don't do justice to the beauty of this place.
